about

This is a collection of A Sunken Ship Irony's most beloved recordings from 2004 to 2008.

"Reflection at Sundown" is the very first track ever recorded by A Sunken Ship Irony. I believe this would have been August of 2004. The song eventually appeared on the album "Death to the Old" in 2005.

"Safety" was a part of the "Hopeful" EP, released on Peddling Records in 2005.

"Island of Misfit Toys" originally debuted on MySpace or PureVolume (I can't remember which), and it was an instant hit. It eventually ended up on the "Contraptions" album in 2006. "Our Heads Were Filled with Thoughts of Home" was also on that album.

"The Breeze That Fans the Flame" and "Winter Leaves Us Bitter" were the first two tracks off the album "Let's Take the Sky," which released in 2007. "War and Peace" was a part of that album as well.

"Songs About Robots" is another song that debuted online. I believe it was online for more than a year before it ended up on the "Special Friends" album, released in 2008. This album also included "Words Fail When" and "Olly Olly Oxen Free."

"Dry-Mouth Tongue-Tied" and "Lost in the Nintendo" were released as free downloads on PureVolume, and they'd never appeared on an album until now.

Enjoy!

Oh, and this collection released on Feb 17, 2019. I backdated it to preserve the chronological release order of the songs.

A Sunken Ship Irony Minneapolis, Minnesota

Like an old ghost ship rising from cursed waters, A Sunken Ship Irony emerges once again. We are soaked, old, and bruised, but we're still alive (if you could call this living).
